The GriffinSports Baseball Camp will stress the fundamentals of baseball including:
- Hitting- It’s the hips, not arms that generate power.
- Throwing- Simple techniques on how to improve your arm strength
- Fielding- Proper preparation “before the pitch”
- Pitching- How to develop pin-point accuracy through repetition
- Baserunning- It’s acutually easier to steal third base than it is to steal second base
- Diet/Conditioning- Things you do and eat prior to playing can affect your performance
The camp will consist of coaches, current and former Longhorn players including.
- Tre Lamb, Head Baseball Coach at Lutheran West, and outstanding pitcher at Marietta College.
- Billy Valetto, outstanding pitcher and catcher, who played college baseball at Cuyahoga Community College
- CJ Griffin, starting shortstop for Lutheran West, who played varsity as a freshman.
The camp will take place the week of June 18th-21st.
