On 6/28, GriffinSports defeated Berea 7-2. Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Alex Wojtala, who had two hits, scored a run, and who is tied for the team lead in RBI’s (14), had three RBI’s
• Zach Peters, who is second on the team in hitting (.447) had two hits, including a double. Zach is tied for the team lead in doubles (4), he scored two runs, had a walk, and who is tied for the team lead in RBI’s (14) had three RBI’s. Zach also pitched all seven innings with eight strikeouts, which raised his team leading  strikeouts to (31) and allowed one earned run.
• Jonathan Griffin, who is tied for fifth on the team in doubles (2), had two hits, including a double, and five assists at second base.
• Ardell Cloud, who is leading the team in hitting, (.462) had three hits, and scored a run.
• CJ Griffin, who is fourth on the team hitting (.394), and on-base percetage (.545), had a hit, who is second on the team in runs (14), scored two runs, and two walks.
• Kevin Keane, who is tied for third on the team in walks (11), had a hit and a walk.
• Griffin Hornyak, who is fourth on the team  in runs (12), scored a run and had two walks.
• Jacob Cantrell, who is fifth on the team in on-base percetage (.537), had a hit.
• Ricky Downer, who leads the team in on-base percetage (.585), had a walk.

On 6/21, GriffinSports defeated Lakewood 11-2. Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Zach Peters, who had two hits, including a triple, scored three runs, a walk, and an RBI. Zach also pitched all seven innings with eleven strikeouts, and allowing two earned runs.
• Jacob Cantrell, who had two hits including a double, scored two runs, and a stolen base.
• CJ Griffin, who had a hit, scored two runs, a walk, a stolen base, and three RBI’s.
• Kevin Keane, who had two hits, a walk, scored a run, three stolen bases, including home, and two RBI’s.
• Alex Wojtala, who had three hits, including a double, scored a run, a stolen base, and three RBI’s.
• Griffin Hornyak, who had a hit, scored two runs, had a walk, and a stolen base.
• Jonathan Griffin, who had a walk and a stolen base.
• Ardell Cloud, who had a walk.

On June 16-18, GriffinSports competed in the State Tournament: Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Ricky Downer, who had three hits, including a double, two stolen bases, and scored a run.
• Ardell Cloud, who had three hits, including two doubles, and an RBI.
• CJ Griffin, who had four hits, including a double, two walks, a stolen base, scored a run, and an RBI.
• Zach Peters, who had three hits, a walk, and a stolen base. Zach also pitched five innings with three strikeouts.
• Jonathan Griffn, who had two hits and two stolen bases.
• Jacob Cantrell, who had three hits, including a double, two walks, a stolen base, and scored a run. Jake also pitched two innings with one strikeout.
• Kevin Keane, who had two walks, two stolen bases, and scored a run.
• Alex Wojtala, who had a hit and two stolen bases. Alex also pitched five strong inning with three strikeouts, and only allowing two earned runs.
• Griffin Hornyak, who had a hit.
• Anthony Delgado, who had a walk. Anthony also pitched five strong innings against the #1 team in the state, with one strikeout.
• Tommy Foster, who pitched seven innings, with two strikeouts and only allowing two earned runs against the #5 team in the state.

On 6/15 GriffinSports defeated the Northeast Ohio Panthers 12-6.  Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Jonathan Griffin, who had a double, a stolen base, and an RBI.
• Ricky Downer, who had two hits, scored a run, and had two stolen bases
• Jacob Cantrell, who had two walks, a stolen base, and scored two runs.
• Griffin Hornyak, who had a hit, scored three runs, three walks, two stolen bases, and three RBI’s.
• Ardell Cloud, who scored a run, had two walks, and an RBI.
• CJ Griffin, who had a stolen base and an RBI.
• Zach Peters, who had two hits, including a double and a triple, with four RBI’s.
• Anthony Delgado, who pitched three innings without giving up and earned run
• Alex Wojtala, who had two walks and a stolen base.
• Kevin Keane, who scored two runs, two walks, and two stolen bases.
• Tommy Foster, who pitched one inning in relief without giving up an earned run.

On 6/11 and 6/12,  The GriffinSports 16U Baseball Team went 2-1 in the GriffinSports 18U Tournament.  Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Ardell Cloud, who had four hits including a double, scored a run, a walk and had seven RBI’s.
• Tommy Foster, who had a hit, a walk, scored a run, and had three RBI’s. Tommy also pitched six innings, with three strikeouts and two earned runs.
• Zach Peters, who had three hits, including a double, scored a run, two stolen bases, and a walk. Zach also pitched five innings, with one strikeout.
• Griffin Hornyak, who had three hits, including a double, scored two runs, two walks and one RBI.
• Ricky Downer, who had two hits, scored four runs, three walks, three stolen bases, and an RBI. Ricky also threw out a runner at home trying to score from second base on a single.
• Alex Wojtala, who had two hits, two walks, scored a run, a stolen base, and an RBI. Alex also pitched four innings, with two strikeouts, giving up no earned runs.
• Jacob Cantrell, who had two hits, scored six runs, five walks, and two stolen bases. Jake also pitched two  innings with one strikeout.
• CJ Griffin, who had a hit, scored two runs, two walks, and started two 6-4-3 doubleplays. CJ, also pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief, with a strikeout, for a save.
• Kevin Keane, who had a hit and three walks.
• Jonathan Griffin, who had a stolen base, and scored a run. Jonathan also turned a nice doubleplay in the sixth inning of the second game.

On 6/8 The GriffinSports 16U Baseball Team lost to the North Coast Cardinals 7-5. Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Ricky Downer, who had two hits including a triple, scored a run, a stolen base, hit by a pitch, and two RBI’s.
• Griffin Hornyak, who had a hit, scored a run, a walk, and an RBI.
• Anthony Delgado, who had a hit, scored a run and was hit by a pitch.
• Zach Peters, who had a walk and a stolen base.
• Ardell Cloud, who had a walk.
• Alex Wojtala, who had two hits, scored a run, and had a stolen base. Alex also turned the third GriffinSports double play of the season when he caught a line drive and tagged the runner at first.
• Jonathan Griffin, who had a stolen base.
• CJ Griffin, who had a hit, scored a run, and an RBI.
• Tommy Foster, who pitched 6 2/3 innings with six strikeouts.

On 6/4 The GriffinSports 16U Baseball Team defeated The North Royalton Bears 12-10 and 10-0. On 6/5 The  GriffinSports baseball team lost to Berea 6-4. Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Griffin Hornyak, who had four hits including two doubles, scored three runs, three walks, hit by a pitch, and had eight RBI’s.
• Anthony Delgado, who had three hits including a bases loaded triple, two walks, scored a run, was hit by a pitch and had four RBI’s. Anthony also pitched four shut out innings, with two strikeouts for his first win of the season.
• Zach Peters, who had four hits, including a double, scored two runs, was hit by a pitch and had three RBI’s. Zach also pitched five innings, giving up two earned runs and three strikeouts.
• Ricky Downer, who had three hits, three walks, scored five runs, hit by two pitches, and two RBI’s.
• Alex Wojtala, who had three hits, including a double, scored a run, and a walk. Alex also pitched four innings with three strikeouts.
• Ardell Cloud, who had six hits including a double, scored three runs, a walk, was hit by a pitch and an RBI.
• CJ Griffin, who had three hits, scored three runs, was hit by a pitch and had an RBI. CJ also pitched three innings with two strikeouts in relief for his first victory of the season.
• Wilzon Santos, who had three hits and scored two runs.
• Kevin Keane, who had two hits, scored two runs, and had a walk.
• Jonathan Griffin, who scored a run and played solid defense at second base
• Tommy Foster, who pitched three innings with three strikeouts and now has two saves on the season. Tommy also started a nice 5-3-2 double play while playing third base.
• Jacob Cantrell, who had a double, three walks, scored five runs and was hit by a pitch. Jacob also pitched one shut-out inning in relief with one strikeout.

On 6/1 The GriffinSports 16U Baseball Team defeated The NorthEast Ohio Panthers 13-4. Highlights for GriffinSports were:

• Tommy Foster who had a hit, an RBI, scored a run, and pitched an inning in relief with two strikeouts.
• Ardell Cloud who had two hits, two RBIs, two walks, and scored a run.
• CJ Griffin who had two hits, scored two runs, two stolen bases, and two walks. CJ also made a diving catch while playing shortstop.
• Alex Wojtala who had a hit, a walk, and three RBI’s. Alex also pitched two innings in relief with two strikeouts.
• Zach Peters who had a hit, scored two runs, three walks and two RBI’s. Zach also got his first win of the season when he pitched four innings with five strikeouts and only one walk.
• Jacob Cantrell who had three hits including a double, scored two runs, and a walk.
• Ricky Downer, who had a double, scored two runs, a walk, and three RBI’s.
• Griffin Hornyak, who scored a run and had a stolen base
